Purchasing an Alarm System

• What minimum package would you suggest?

• Will I be leasing or purchasing the alarm system?
• Can I expand my system after the initial installation?
• Is the system equipped with a battery backup?
• What sets your system or coverage apart from the rest?
• How many false alarms are allowed in my area before being charged by the local authorities?

• There are a lot of alarm companies. You want to chose one that is professional, knowledgeable and local enough to be able to provide that answer.

• Is there a contract required?

• Be sure to understand the details of the contract and be sure that you can, if necessary, cancel the coverage within a reasonable amount of time.

• What is the monthly monitoring cost?
• What is the total installation cost?

• Often the installation and equipment are "free" if you agree to the monthly monitoring for a certain period of time. Be sure that you know what is stipulated in your contract and how long you are obligated.
